Wedding Fairs and Tea Parties

Last week we went to Kämp-hotel’s Afternoon Teato celebrate our engagement with my family. Afternoon tea consisted of savory and sweet pastries and tea, of course. It was raining outside which added to the lovely atmosphere in the dimly lit covered terrace.

On Saturday I went to the Love Me Do wedding fair with Eerikki, my sister/maid of honor and her son.

The wedding fair excitement doesn’t quite show on Eerikki’s face as much as on mine 😀

The best thing about the fair was the bodypositivity theme and the models in the fashion shows were of all ages and sizes. Not so great was realizing that we still haven’t booked wedding cake bakery, florist, hairdresser or band and it was made clear to us that we need to do that asap. It was a good reminder though that there’s still a lot to do. We received Wedding and Häät ja Juhlat – magazines at the fair so I spent the rest of the night going through them.

This model was our absolute favorite and I took tons of pics of her 🙂 Wedding dress: Wedding Garage

I also should mention Peppi’s 2 year birthday party which we celebrated with a bunny-approved carrot cake.

We also went back to Olli Johan Lindroosand after sitting with the sales person, Olli Johan Lindroos himself and Eerikki for an hour staring at the white gold and rose gold ring in turns and saying ”it’s such a difficult decision” I eventually decided to change my ring to the rose gold one! I’d never realized you need steel nerves working at a jewelry store. Eerikki and I concluded that the rose gold one was even more beautiful than the white gold one and luckily there was the possibility for exchange. I’ll show the ring as soon as it arrives!
