The most beautiful wedding venues for budget weddings

Collaboration with Venuu.fi

Once you start planning your wedding, you quickly realize that providing drinks for the event yourself rather than buying them from the venue will save you a lot of money. This is quite common in Finland but isn't possible in all venues. If the venue has alcohol serving rights, the drinks will need to be purchased through them, this was the case with our wedding but we loved the place so much that we were willing to pay for that. I've listed here places that don't require you to purchase drinks through them but you can buy them from Tallinn, for example and save a lot. Some of the places listed here do require you to purchase dinner through them but that can be a good thing. In that case you don't have to worry about renting dishes, hiring staff and cleaning up. On the other hand, choosing the catering company yourself, or even cooking yourself can save money too. Please also note, that some places have dining tables in several different rooms. I recommend you check if all the tables will be in one room so that all guests can participate in the program during dinner. Then again, if you have guests that don't get along, having them dine in separate areas can be a good thing :D
I haven't listed the prices for renting the venue as the final price consist of the cost of the meal and any additional services that may be included or excluded so I wouldn't recommend making a choice solely on the price of the rent.
All venues are listed in a random order.

Soutupaviljonki

Soutupaviljonki, Helsinki
Bring your own food: No
Seats: 88
This is one of my absolute favorites. The place was too small for us and also fully booked for this summer. There's a lovely sea view and it's all white inside enabling you to easily decorate it to match your theme.

Sarvikota

Sarvikota, Mäntsälä
Bring your own food: No
Seats: 50
This is so cool! How unique would it be to have your wedding at a venue like this? There's a river close by, the wedding couple could arrive down the river on a canoe.

Villa Åkerblom

Villa Åkerblom, Espoo
Bring your own food: No
Seats: 100
This beautiful villa is also by the sea. There's also a big tent available for rent. I've always loved the idea of having a wedding on a big tent so here you would have the option for an outdoor or indoor wedding or combining both.

White Sand Boat

White Sand Boat, Helsinki
Bring your own food: yes
Seats: 30
We've been here before and the place is awesome. There's a hot tub, sauna and a larger area downstairs with Singstar (karaoke). Okay, it's not your typical wedding venue but if you're having a party just for friends or just a small casual wedding then why not have it singing and bathing? :D It's also perfect for bachelor(ette) parties.

G18 juhlasali

G18 juhlasali, Helsinki
Bring your own food: yes
Seats: 150
This hall is beautiful with a long history. The location in the city center is ideal. Included is a small hallway area where you can have the cocktail hour or place a Photo Booth or the kids play area.

Valkosaaren Telakka

Valkosaaren Telakka, Helsinki
Bring your own food: No
Seats: 250
The venue is large and at a great location. There's only NJK on the same island so you'll have some privacy. The place is made of quite dark wood but with small effort you can decorate it to look the way you want it.

Villa Ivan Falin

Villa Ivan Falin, Helsinki
Bring your own food: No
Seats: 120
This place is gorgeous! I visited the place in the spring and highly recommend it. The view is of the lovely Vuosaari seaside and it's beautiful on the inside too. You can transport your guests there on a boat, if you wish and several room allow for different types of options suitable for your wedding. Why not make one of the rooms kids playroom and another a karaoke room :D

Tenalji Von Fersen

Suomenlinna / Tenalji von Fersen / Juhlatila, Helsinki
Bring your own food: yes
Seats: 200
Beautiful and unique with brick walls. The lovely lighthouse church of Suomenlinna is near by if you wish for a church ceremony. If you want to have your ceremony outside, there are plenty of good options for that as well in Suomenlinna.

Pirunkirkon juhlasali

Suomenlinna / Pirunkirkon juhlasali, Helsinki
Bring your own food: yes
Seats: 120
Luckily the very popular wedding location Suomenlinna has two venues where you can bring your own beverages. It's also convenient that the places are of very different styles. This venue also has a cabinet area where you can have your ceremony, for example.

Due to corona virus Saturdays for next summer are probably quite booked already. I've mentioned how we had to move our wedding due to corona from a Saturday in July to a Friday in August. As there were no Saturdays left for the summer, we were quite happy with Friday. I recommend considering that option if you're still looking for a venue or have to move the wedding.
You can find more venues from the venuu.fi website, good luck and have a lovely event!
