Breakfast review: Lazy Fox

Jordan and I visited Lazy Foxat breakfast. Since I had my lovely breakfast date with me, he also got to taste the breakfast.

Apart from us, there were two small groups at the restaurant, all English speaking, so maybe the place is popular with tourists. The restaurant looked like a fun place to spend an evening, it operates as a bar in the evenings, but it worked perfectly well for breakfast too We ordered porridge with fresh fruit, Eggs Benny with avocado and a separate portion of tofu. I would have taken the Eggs Benny with tofu instead of avocado since I can't eat cold smoked salmon when pregnant, but that wasn't possible, so I took the tofu separately. I also ordered some green tea.

Porridge with fruit was the best of the order. I liked the porridge, even though I almost never eat porridge. Fresh fruit meant exactly three blueberries, one raspberry and three thin slices of banana. My expectations were a bit higher, but I still choose porridge as the winner of the dishes, it wasn't expensive either, only five euros. The Eggs Benny was a bit tasteless, badly in need of the smoked salmon or something else. The tofu was weirdly seasoned, but tasted ok. The only green tea they had was unflavored, but I got a slice of lemon for it by asking.

The final price was 23.50 euros. It was really expensive for breakfast, of course I wouldn't have had porridge without Jordan, and I wouldn't have had tofu if I could have had the cold-smoked salmon, in which case the price with tea would have been 15.50, but Eggs Benny alone wouldn't have been filling enough.

I like the concept of the restaurant, the list is full of different breakfast options, juices, smoothies and coffees. However, the price quickly gets high when everything is paid for separately. The porridge was really good, the Eggs Benny a little tasteless and the tofu a little strange. I won't come back here for breakfast, but maybe I'll come someday to check out the bar at night time. Two stars **.
