Breakfast review

Breakfast review: Moko Market

I visited Moko Market Punavuori for breakfast couple of weeks ago. I've been meaning to go there for a long time because the shop is sooo cute and I was looking forward to trying out their breakfast.
As usual, I went for breakfast on a weekday morning and the place was quiet, I think there were two people besides me.
The price of the breakfast is 13.50 euros, with espresso based coffee it's 15.50 euros. Breakfast is served on weekdays from 8am to 10am, on weekends Moko serves brunch.

The breakfast selection was pretty basic, open sandwich ingredients, croissants, smoothies, coffee and tea. There was also some fruit, porridge and banana bread. A happy surprise was the sea buckthorn juice, I started drinking it when I was expecting Jordan and since then I've been craving it every now and then. The tea was readymade and there was no green tea.

So how did I like it? The weird thing is that I couldn't really decide if I like it or not when I was sitting there eating. Now in retrospect, I would say that this breakfast wasn't for me. I had trouble finding anything I would want to eat, so I ate something I could eat. Everything was really basic and I didn't even get tea. Basically, there was nothing wrong with the food, it was just very plain. I wouldn't go there again and I didn't really enjoy it, except for the sea buckthorn juice. The shop is still lovely and maybe I'll try the brunch sometime.

Beautiful shop, nice staff. A simple selection of basics. Two stars **.
